Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee Partners With The Southern Entertainment Awards & Conference

With a country-wide hardship for insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield initiates health care plans specific for the "hip hop" community

MEMPHIS,TENN (January 27, 2010)--- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and the Southern Entertainment Awards & Conference answer the health care call of action set by President Barack Obama.  As one of the first opportunities of its kind, artists (visual and performing), dj’s, and those whose primary work is in the entertainment industry, will be educated on the health insurance reform and options provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield.  The partnership will create history during the 7th Annual Southern Entertainment Awards and Conference taking place, March 4-7, 2010 in Memphis, TN.

During a session before Congress, President Obama stated, "Improving our health care system only works if everybody does their part.”  BCBS and the SEA’s have identified their part and have carved out a plan to implement it during the SEA’s this year.  During the days leading up to the annual award show Blue Cross Blue Shield will host information sessions for the participants.  Applications will be accepted on site and representatives will discuss the plan designs and pricing with attendees.

The Southern Entertainment Awards and Conference will take place March 4-7, 2010 in the heart of Memphis, TN.  The host hotel is the Memphis Marriott Downtown, 250 N. Main St., Memphis, Tenn. 38103, and the panels will be hosted in the adjoining Cook Convention Center. Tickets for the 7th Annual Awards Show will be held at the Canon Center, 255 N. Main St., Memphis, Tenn. 38103, which is currently available at for $30.
