The Little Black Dress Club Presents Casino Couture to Benefit The Mary Parrish Center for Victims of Domestic Violence

The event, hosted at Gaylord Springs Golf will raise funds for women and children affected by domestic violence Nashville, TN (August 16, 2010)—The Little Black Dress Club, Nashville Chapter will present Casino Couture: Casino + Cocktails + Charity to benefit The Mary Parrish Center.  The 1960’s inspired casino night will take place September 24th at the Gaylord Springs Club (18 Springhouse Lane Nashville, TN 37214) from 8PM to midnight and will feature music, cocktails, and silent auction.

"The Little Black Dress Club is a social organization and much like the fashion staple {black dress}, made famous by Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel, we aspire to be a timeless movement,” shares CEO Christine Zellers.  “We have 14 chapters across the US with more than 2,000 members (and growing) and it is important that our social connection is used to impact the community.”

Casino Couture will be an evening to remember as Nashville transforms into a 1960’s Vegas background inspired by the Rat Pack and Audrey Hepburn.  The ballroom turned casino will highlight favorites such as poker, roulette, and blackjack as guests enjoy themed-appetizers and cocktails, ladies and gentlemen draped in their finest vintage Vegas attire, and impersonators that are sure to make many double-take.

The affair will be an all out posh evening for an amazing cause; the Mary Parrish Center. Since 2002, The Mary Parrish Center has provided a myriad of comprehensive, holistic, services to over 6,500 victims of domestic violence and their children.  In March 2009, they expanded both their mission and reach with the inclusion of a therapeutic transitional living program.

As a national organization, the Little Black Dress Club and its collaboration with The Mary Parrish Center is a part of the organization’s bigger mission to impact the world socially and civically.

“Through the Nashville chapter we are able to create a national model for events like this that will mix social events with community initiatives,” shares National Director and Nashville Co-Director Angee Billingsley.  She goes on, “We will use this opportunity to create a platform that will transform the way we socialize.”
