Local Community Leaders Announce Speaking with One Voice Education Plan for Metro School Systemv

Nashville, TN--The Nashville Branch of the NAACP will hold a press conference tomorrow, Wednesday August 18, 2010, 10am, and the Branch office (1308 Jefferson Street Nashville 37208) to announce Speaking with One Voice, the education plan for Metro Schools.  Along with the IMF, Center for Community Change, Urban League of MT, Black Caucus, Urban Epicenter and other organizations, the coalition of groups will enact the plan in response to the report that states more than 50% of African American boys in the Metro school system have been suspended.  The organizations will pose a challenge to the school board as well as enact the Education Toolkit established by the NAACP’s National Office.
