Men and Women of all shapes and sizes take the runway for Fashion for EveryBODY

The annual event participated in the first Nashville Fashion Week (#NFW) and community ROLE Models sported the latest designs down the runway, all for a great cause Nashville, TN (November 10, 2010)--Holiday chic with a splash of pink was the theme this past weekend as the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee (EDCT) rolled out the pink carpet for their signature annual event, Fashion for EveryBODY™.  Hosted at the Vanderbilt University Commodore Ballroom, guests were greeted by flashing camera lights for a photo opportunity.  As they entered the room the walls were lined with silent auction items that included autographed guitars donated by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw and Alan Jackson.  Guests also enjoyed the swanky Vitamin Water VIP lounge, delicious fare from YOLOS in Green Hills, and beverages from Athens Distributing.

In the midst of the first-ever Nashville Fashion Week, Fashion for EveryBODY™ put the spotlight on ROLE Models of all shapes and sizes as thirty community leaders and influencers took to the runway.  Adorned with ensembles from vendors such as Ivey, d. marlene jewelry, Blush, Emmaline, Hemline, and Gent, just to name a few, models proved that fashion is indeed for every body type.  After the models took their final walk, emcee Shane Tallant introduced country artist Katie Armiger, who performed songs from her latest album, Confessions of a Nice Girl.

All proceeds benefited Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee, the Southeast's only statewide nonprofit which targets eating disorder awareness, education, and prevention. Founded in 2002, EDCT promotes a robust offering of programs and services, including eating disorders prevention in youth, specialized training for medical professionals, support groups for families, community nutrition and wellness presentations, and a variety of awareness events.

EDCT started Fashion for EveryBODY™ in 2004 to celebrate body types of all shapes and sizes and the beauty within. Today, it is the coalition’s most successful mission-driven fundraiser. For more information about Fashion for EveryBODY™ and EDCT, visit www.edct.net. -30-
