Nashville Minister Writes/Directs Theatrical Production, Opens April 25

Born Again Church Hosts Theatrical Production, Grave Notice

Nashville, TN (April 13, 2012) – Mega-congregation Born Again Church is preparing their stage for Grave Notice, the theatrical production written and directed by their very own leader, Bishop Horace Hockett. The stage play will begin April 25th to 28th at 7pm and the 29th at 3pm.  Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and available at or at the Church office (858 W Trinity Lane, Nashville, 37207).  Each show will also feature an hour-long pre-reception, The Taste of North Nashville, at 6pm, giving guests the opportunity to sample various foods from restaurants around the Nashville area.

The college drama professor turned minister wrote Grave Notice in 2011 and it details the life of a young man named Mark, a talented musician who has neglected his family in the pursuit of a successful music career, only to return home for his mother’s funeral. It is in that period that Mark learns that he can build his career OR build his family.   Producer Crystal Gray commented, “The play will sincerely make you question how much you will sacrifice family for the sake of success.”
